This includes shipping, local and long-distance bus and train services, and flights.\u00a0<\/p><p>The APF processes 6663 arbitration requests annually \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/epaper.apf.gv.at\/apf_jb_2025\/#\/34\">As of 2025.<\/a><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4aeab47 class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Agency for Passenger and Passenger Rights faced two challenges:<\/p><ul><li>The number of arbitration requests has steadily increased, which has significantly increased the workload.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>The performance of the original case management software could not keep pace with the development.<br \/><br \/><\/li><\/ul><p>Accordingly, the APF has been looking for software that increases its own efficiency while simultaneously facilitating the processing of arbitration requests.<\/p><p>At that time, there was no standard software available that met the wishes and requirements of the APF to sustainably solve the challenge of increasing case numbers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a8276fd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a8276fd\" class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apf.gv.at\/\">APF<\/a> has opted for custom software development to solve its own challenges. This has led to a collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/ciit-software.com\/en\/\">CIIT Software GmbH<\/a> came.\u00a0<\/p><p>Together with our developers, an agile development process has begun to design a mediation tool that will enable APF staff to manage the increasing number of cases.\u00a0<\/p><p>The close cooperation has resulted in a modern case management tool that fully maps document management, communication, automatic reporting and all case management processes.\u00a0<\/p><p>The modern case management tool is continuously adapted to the needs and requirements of the APF.
