The ombudsman's office for students uses OmbuDesk to process mediation requests.

The ombudsman's office for students is for all public and private universities in Austria, as well as universities of applied sciences and teacher training colleges are responsible. 

The arbitration board mediates in disputes between educational institutions and current and former students.

The institution is located within the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research. However, the ombudsman's office operates independently.
